Nord Anglia Education Welcomes Frances King as Director of Collège Alpin Beau Soleil

05 December 2012

We are delighted to welcome Frances King to the role of Director of Collège Alpin Beau Soleil, who will be joining us on 1 September 2013. The appointment of Mrs King to our family of premium schools demonstrates our commitment to the highest levels of educational quality for our students.

Mrs King is currently the Headmistress of Roedean, the leading day and boarding school in Brighton, UK. During the course of her five years at Roedean, she has made a significant contribution to the school’s success.

Prior to joining Roedean, Mrs King was the Headmistress of Heathfield School, a full boarding school, and was the Deputy Headmistress at St Mary’s, a day and boarding school, both in Ascot, Berkshire. Mrs King has an MA in Theology (St Hilda’s, Oxford), an MA in Philosophy and Ethics (University of London) and an MBA in Global Educational Leadership (University of Hull). She serves on the Girls’ School Association (GSA) Boarding Committee and the Central Council of the Royal Over-Seas League, London. Mrs King is also a popular speaker at major educational conferences in the UK and overseas, engaging and inspiring school leaders on themes such as change management, leadership, and the benefits of boarding and global education.

Following her new appointment, Mrs King said: “I am delighted to be joining Collège Alpin Beau Soleil. The school has a rich history and association with the de Meyer family; I am honoured to be entrusted with the community and look forward to leading it into the future.

Beau Soleil has a fine reputation for its "education outside the classroom" programme, through which young people gain exceptional leadership and personal skills; the combination of this, their academic studies and the values based community life in which they live helps to equip them for life in the 21st century.”
