Early Years (3 to 5 years old)

Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) prepares younger children for an education that will help them achieve the ambitions that they develop now and later in life.

Created for children aged three to five, our Early Years Foundation Stage programme offers a balanced, varied and effective programme for young learners.

Guided by experienced staff, children are split by age into two groups: Foundation 1 and 2. They can develop at their own pace, and benefit from a safe, nurturing environment of assessment, teaching and observation.

We get to know each of our students, and allow them to enjoy a range of activities that build on their strengths, develop interests and give them a good foundation in life. Education is based around six important areas of learning and development, with themes that change each half-term.

The six areas of learning and development are:

  • Personal, social and emotional development.
  • Communication, language and literacy.
  • Problem-solving, reasoning and numeracy.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the world.
  • Physical development.
  • Creative development.
