I am a native French Teacher with a Master Degree of French as a foreign language and I have been working for the last 20 years with children and teenagers, especially in Latin America and France. In my previous position, from 2008 to 2013, I had the opportunity to develop the French Department within an International School in Bogotá, Colombia, where I became an enthusiastic and leading figure on the IB programme for Secondary.
I arrived at LCIS in September 2014 and I am delighted to bring my experience and skills in dynamic and communicative language learning in Secondary. Such position allows me to pursue my career within a challenging and rewarding environment.
I have lived with my family in several countries in Latin America, Africa, Europe and I enjoy discovering new cultures and languages. I speak Spanish fluently and I continue improving my English. I think that multilingualism is essential in our global world in order to facilitate understanding of the cultures and communication between people. In this regard, I think the IB program is the educational program best suited for younger generations.
As a Teacher of a foreign language, I see myself as a coach helping young people to get to know themselves, being able to express their feelings, developing independent learning combined with the pleasure of learning a new language.
Working at LCIS all0ws me to stay in contact with a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment. I feel attracted to the school’s philosophy and values, a beautiful and safety environment. As the LCIS team, we are all together collaborating to encourage our students to develop as confident individuals. I enjoy working with small groups of students, which allows me to dedicate time to each of them in a tailored and warm-hearted way. I am proud to be part of this ambitious and energetic environment.
