Visit by the Artist Robert Nemeček - Year 7 Exhibition and Competition

On Tuesday 9th December, we will be honoured to welcome the artist Robert Nemeček to our School to a special reception for students and parents. Mr Nemeček will judge our Year 7 artwork that has been inspired by an earlier visit to his Paleoart exhibition, in Bratislava. His exhibition featured works that were developed from cave paintings around the world.

Our students were enthused by some of his techniques and worked on specially prepared boards, to resemble a piece of wall from a cave.  They used their hands and fingers to apply acrylic paint and enhanced their scenes with pastel and charcoal.  The theme was, ‘My Life, My Country’ and each piece was created in one, two-hour session.

The event will be held in the School Library at 18.00 – 19.00.  You are invited to attend, to meet the artist and see what our Year 7 students have created.  We are proud to show Mr Nemecek how he has motivated our collection.
