Learning activities for children to do over the holiday

Whilst we recognise that it is important for children to have rest after the long academic year; we would also like to share with you some activities you may want to do at home over the summer holiday to support your children.

You will all be aware now about our wonderful new on-line reading programme that has been set up. This is a fantastic opportunity for children to access books over the summer that they can read on line. This programme really supports the children’s comprehension and each text comes with activities the children must complete before moving onto the next book.

All children have a login and password that has been sent home and class teachers have selected books for your child to read over the summer holidays.

Please log into myimaths to practise concepts the children have learned over the year. For times tables games please go to: http://www.teachingtables.co.uk/

Keeping a diary

Creating a diary of your holiday activities is a great way for children to practise writing and to collect memories of all the wonderful things they do during the summer. They could keep a journal, blog or photobook.
