Visit from the Julliard School!

Last June 3 of our talented older students and Miss Hatinova travelled to the Julliard School in New York to take part in The Global Orchestra, an orchestra made out of Nord Anglia students from around the world.

The next phase of the collaboration is to put some Julliard teaching methods into our music classrooms.

On 16th September we had a visit from Julliard fellow Patrick Jankowski and Regional Lead for Europe Michelle Collier. They came to talk to the music and drama staff and to see our students in action.

A well timed visit they were able to watch the entirety of year 7 rehearse for their one choir performance the following week and they were very excited about the high standards in our school.

We had a special assembly in the afternoon with performances by Hoda Jahanpour in year 11 on the cello and Patrick on the French Horn. The secondary school students were delighted by both performances and asked many intelligent questions at the time and in the days after too.

It was great to make these connections and we hope to be able to become involved in some really exciting projects in the future - watch this space!
