Mr. Ľubomír Feldek's visit

Inspiration was born and dream came true

Thanks to Mrs Taranová we have been honoured to welcome one of the most famous current Slovak writers and probably the most artistic translator ever in Slovak literary history.

Maestro Feldek met Year 11 students to hold a discussion full of interesting topics, connected not only to literature but also to his life experiences and his opinion on present society and relationships between people.

Students appreciated his openness, his fresh young spirit, and his brisk responses.

In our literary analyses we are focusing on pieces of writing from around the world. We are examining his translation techniques, so the main topic of our work became the technology of recreating poems in another language, that is our own.

Our conclusion is that the Poetic language is predominant over any other, it is universal.

Year 11's were really enthused by this inspirational meeting, even more so their teacher, whose long term dream to meet this man has now become a reality. Thank you Maestro Feldek!
