2016 Global Campus photography competition

This year’s Global Campus photography competition theme was based on nature. We asked students around the world to show us their perspectives on the topic. Below are just some of the breath-taking images we received back.

Congrats to 3 Highly Commended students from the British International School Bratislava in the NAEGC Photography competition.

Scottish Thistles

By Sofia Conway, 6, The British International School Bratislava

"We went out for my nana's birthday and my sister and I took photos. I like the thistles because they are from  Scotland."

Location: Kingussie, Highland Region, Scotland

Samorast

By Martin Vrana, 15, The British International School Bratislava

"Inspired by the works of Jakub Dvorský, I took this picture while hiking with my family in the Little Carpathians  mountain range, a national reserve that is densely forested (about 90%) with many endemic species. This place is a peaceful haven of nature, and shows the hidden beauty of Slovakia."

Location: Malé Karpaty, Slovakia

Over the Rainbow

By Hannah Conway, 9, The British International School Bratislava

"I took this photograph because it was an amazing rainbow - it was really bright strong colours and it went in a really big arc. I think it fits the theme because it shows nature in life."

Location: Aviemore, Scotland
