Book week was celebrated with the visit of author Alan Gibbons who proved inspirational for many of our students and there continues to be many opportunities for budding writers with our lunchtime writers’ group and writers’ workshops run by CAS students during Enrichment. Two of our students’ writing on the subject ‘Be Ambitious’ will be published in Nord Anglia’s Creative Writing Anthology 2016 and we continue to have success with our debating teams in the Global Classroom Debating League.

As part of Nord Anglia’s Global Campus celebration of 400 years of Shakespeare, students have filmed Shakespeare monologues on location and we now look forward to the exciting, contemporary production of Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ which will be performed by all of Year 9 in June as part of the celebrations. The Year 7 short film project, in conjunction with ICT, is currently underway and we will be rolling out the red carpet for the second year running for our Oscars ceremony at the end of the summer term.
