Cricket Club Trip to Prague

On Saturday 23rd April, at the crack of dawn, six intrepid cricketers ventured North to participate in the Spring Cricket Tournament in Prague. We got there by 10.30 a.m., delayed slightly by the traffic.

Jetlagged, our first match didn’t go too well, losing narrowly to the Nord Anglia School from Prague, EISP. However, we got straight wins in our next three consecutive matches due to the fact that our bowling, batting, attitude and confidence increased and developed with every game.
Overall, we came 3rd out of a total of five teams. More importantly, Maddie Keys won bowler of the Tournament award whilst the whole team was awarded the Fair Play Certificate.
All six cricketers were brilliant. It was a busy, productive day and we can’t wait for the next event.
