What do you want to be when you grow up?

This term Year 1 have been exploring the jobs that people do and finding out the answers to questions such as ‘Why do people have jobs?’. Which jobs are important? As a finale to this topic we visited the Moje Mesto careers’ museum at Bory Mall.

Here they could explore what it is like to work in a variety of different jobs. At the supermarket, children filled their trolleys while the shop assistant scanned the shopping. In the post office the post person needed to stamp the letters and parcels and then deliver them in the post van. Some children wrote post cards to post in the post box. Other jobs were in the hospital, building site and television studio. Now we have lots of ideas about the jobs we would like to do.

Is it also possible to add something to the face book page:
What do you want to be when you grow up? A post deliverer, reporter, cameraman, builder, doctor, nurse, shop assistant?
