On Friday KS3 had the final vote for the best Global Library book on our short list of 8 books Pupils have been reading the books since last August as part of their independent reading. To celebrate this event, each Year group debated the merits of each book in their English lessons on Tuesday and on Friday morning each English class performed a presentation on one of the books, also dressing up as characters from that book. The event was held in the theatre and there were some very imaginative costumes and professional presentations.

The prize for best dressed English class went to Mrs Wilcox's Year 7 group ' A short History of Nearly Everything' Bill Bryson

The prize for the best presentation went to Ms Thatcher's Year 7 English group for their presentation on ' The Lie Tree' by Frances Harding

They are all enjoying a pizza party at lunch today.
