Reception Trip to Abeland

The 'Little Red Hen' grows her own wheat and grinds it to make the flour for her bread.

Reception children got the opportunity to see grains being ground in the mill to make different kinds of flour. They saw the special oven where bread is baked and they even got to try some of the delicious bread that is home made at the farm.

They were excited to see some of the other animals that live on the farm, they got to feed the goats with their kids, the curly haired pigs, the cows with their long horns and even some ducklings. We had lots of fun down on the farm.
