What should I be doing and when?

Year 12

  • work on doing the best you can in ALL your IB subjects, CAS, EE and ToK. You will be applying for university early on in Year 13 so your predicted grades will be heavily influenced by your performance in Year 12.
  • start researching courses you might like to study and any requirements they might have (work experience, grades etc).
  • try and visit some universities in the holidays.
  • read around your chosen subject so you have more to write about in your personal statement.

Year 13

  • finish writing your personal statement/essay/letter of motivation.
  • make sure you continue working hard in all your IB subjects.
  • complete the application process for your chosen countries.

! Remember that in many cases your application will have to be sent off by December or January of Year 13!
