Head of Science and Physics

I have been teaching Physics for over 20 years, both in the UK and abroad. I have made a career of teaching overseas, with stays in Egypt; Kenya; Kuwait and Brunei, as well as here in Slovakia. In this time I have taught Physics at Key Stage 3, IGSE and IB Diploma., as well as having been Head of Science for around 15 years in these schools.

My reason for coming to the British School Bratislava was that it was an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing environment, offering interesting and challenging teaching opportunities, within the heart of Europe.

I am a keen photographer and traveller, combining the two as often as I can. I am also a big fan of rugby, both union and league, where in the latter version I am a dedicated follower of my home town team; Warrington Wolves; who have had a surprising, but pleasant run of success recently. Another passion of mine is reading History, especially from the 20th Century.

What the students say about me

He was always trying to help us to improve, his feedback was always detailed and he always did his best for us.

He made a difficult and complex subject a very enjoyable experience.

The absolute clearness in his explanations of difficult topics made them easily understandable by all students.
