Physics, Mathematics Teacher & Year 10/11 IGE Form Tutor

A British trained teacher of Science and Geology from the University of Exeter, Rob specialises in Physics having attained a Masters degree in Physics from the University of Salford. He has taught for many years in the UK and was Head of Science in a school in Liverpool for 13 years. During this time he was an examiner for GCSE Physics and a coursework moderator for GCSE Science.

For the past 6 years he has been teaching Physics up to IB AHL level at the British International School in Shanghai where he was also Pastoral Head of Year 7, which included overseeing the transition of students from Primary School to Secondary School. He has come to Bratislava in order to be nearer his 3 sons whilst at the same time remaining in the Nord Anglia group of schools.

Rob is a keen traveller and has visited most countries in Asia as well as Australia, Canada and the USA. He is an avid reader and usually has at least two books on the go at any one time. Exoplanets and dinosaurs fascinate him. He has attended primary and secondary school in Hong Kong and many years ago he worked as a coal miner! He is a trained student counsellor.
