German Teacher

I completed a Master of Arts in Economics and Geography 1996 in France and Germany and subsequently followed a Post-Graduate course on Development Policy. Since then I worked for over a decade in development cooperation in several countries in Africa and Asia as trainer and advisor in the fields of business promotion and vocational education.

Through these activities I realised that education is key to development – be it of a whole nation or of an individual, and geared my career more into this direction. It was then through my own children that I discovered my love of teaching children. I did a PGCE with the University of Sunderland and am happy to teach German at BISB and to support students to become open and multi-lingual world citizens.

Outside school, besides spending time with my family, I enjoy reading (or rather listening to audio-books while doing household chores), playing tennis in Dubravka, occasionally field hockey with my Slovak team from Nova Dubnica and playing viola in the Bratislava Technical University Orchestra.
