IBDP – YEARS 12 AND 13

Since the school started providing post-16 courses the students of this age group have not been expected to wear the school uniform. This is one of the privileges of being an IB Diploma student and demonstrates that the school views IB Diploma students as mature young adults who are able to dress appropriately without the need for a school uniform.

To make clear our expectations we have a simple dress code:

You are expected to dress in a smart manner appropriate for a professional working environment.

•              Young men are expected to wear collared shirts and women should do the same

•              Smart trousers-jeans and combat trousers are unacceptable

•              Young women should not wear beach style vests or dresses

•              Flip-flops and trainers, T-shirts, denim jeans, hoodies are inappropriate and cannot be worn

Other notes – All Secondary Students:

•              Belts if worn should be plain and dark (no studs or large buckles)

•              Clothing with extra buckles, studs, etc. are not acceptable.

•              Tailored shorts should be no more than 10cm above the knee.

•              Preferably Black or white trainers may not be worn with school uniform except for break times and during PE lessons.

•              Jewellery: one pair of plain stud earrings only (one stud per ear).

•              No body piercings or tattoos should be visible.

•              Hair should be of a natural colour and style
