Parents have many questions when choosing a private school for their child. We always welcome parents to contact us directly. However, for quick reference we have also aimed to provide some answers to some of our more commonly asked questions here.

How soon after submitting our application form will we hear from you?

How soon after submitting our application form will we hear from you?

You can generally expect to hear from us within 2 weeks after submitting your application.

 

Is it necessary to come for a visit? Does my child need to attend the visit?

It is always good to meet with the families but it is not necessary. The admission process of a student can be done at distance in particular when families are based overseas.

Your child not need to attend the visit. However sometimes if we are unsure of the grade the child should integrate, we may require the child to attend classes for a day to help us assess their level and appropriate grade.

 

What happens during a visit?

We start our visits with a discussion which helps us understand what your expectations are of the school, what support your child(ren) may require (such as French as a foreign language lessons for non-native French speakers). During this discussion we shall also explain the curriculum to you and discuss what grade your child would enter the school at. We conclude visits by a tour of the campus which is an opportunity to see a classroom and the campus facilities.

 

When do we need to pay fees by?

 

Tuition fees are billed in advance of each trimester. You may pay annually (receiving a 3% discount), quarterly (31st July, 31st December, 31st March), or monthly (incurring a 3% surcharge). See further information in our Fees section.

 

Are school meals included in the school fees?

No, meals are charged as a supplement. Older children may also bring their own home-prepared lunch into school to eat in the school cafeteria.

 

Are extracurricular activities, visits and trips included in the school fees?

Mandatory extra activities (such as trips for all students) are charged in a single fee in addition to the tuition fee. This varies depending on the child’s year of study. This is set out in the Fees information provided in the Fees section. Some extracurricular activities and other additional activities such as private tuition incur additional fees.

 

Why can’t there just be one single fee for everything?

Your child is unique, and so your child’s needs are different to every other child in our school. This may be related to the curriculum it follows, the extracurricular activities and sports it excels at, or the language needs that it has. And so this means that every experience is costed individually - a bespoke educational package designed for your child, without the extras that they don’t require.
