Red Hand Day

Red Hand Day or International Day against the use of child soldiers, February 12th, is an annual commemoration day on which pleas are made to political leaders and events are staged around the world to draw attention to the fates of child soldiers, children who are forced to serve as soldiers in wars and armed conflicts.

On this occasion, our year 6 students were invited to the UN to hand over to representatives of human rights, the "red handprints" collected by our school (which will be passed on to the concerned countries) together with an animated film made with Lego by year 8 students with Mrs. Wahlen’s help.
