Tell me about yourself:
After finishing my studies, I wanted a profession with a focus on helping others either educator or psychologist. The circumstances of life led me to become a primary school teacher, and I continued my psychology studies on the side. Over the course of my experiences in different areas, I gathered everything that could enrich and improve my performance as a teacher. My 3 children, among others, allowed me to discover the complex reality of gifted children. I charge up my batteries enjoying nature: ice-skating in the winter, swimming and hiking in the summer.
What do you think of Champittet?
I came to this school in 2005. I like the family atmosphere, in which everyone knows the first name of almost all of the students because they know them personally. This is unique! The good atmosphere among the team without making any difference of staff’s status is also a privilege. Any actions taken by adults, regardless of who it is, towards a child are seen as equal. I am also very grateful for this school’s openness and interest in all projects which allow us optimise our pedagogical practices. I have always felt independent and supported when starting something new.
What are your strengths?
One of my strengths is probably my energy, which makes me be enthusiastic and engaged with my dear students, and which has always simultaneously guided me through training after training. I am also grateful for my curiosity, optimism, and personal inclination towards learning. After all, I believe that being a teacher includes the first two professions I had in mind, and in the end I am doing 3 in 1!
