Teaching staff rotation week in PS, 1 and 2

Rotating teaching staff allows them, among others, to teach other pupils than those that they are usually assigned to. The teachers of classes PS, 1 and 2 took turns going to other classes to read and tell stories. Each teacher had chosen a different tale.  The teacher approached this change of environment with their personal experience, wealth, and vision of the students, but also with their own pedagogical vision. Focusing on the students as well as professional practices allows teachers to share important information and refine their view of children who are not the same age as those that they usually teach.

Here are some reflections of our teachers following this experience:

“I was delighted to meet the students of other classes and to remind myself of the different levels and achievements…”

“That allowed me to "get my nose out of the handlebars" and observe what's around me. Experiences like this make it possible to really appreciate what my colleagues are experiencing, to relativise, to appreciate our situation, to see the progress of our students and to promote relations.”

“I really enjoyed this experience- seeing former students, seeing how they had evolved, working with students on the same level and adapting to the little ones who were simply adorable.”
