San Roberto International School, Campus San Agustin and the ISRMUN 2017 Secretariat are pleased to formally invite your educational institution to participate in our annual Model United Nations simulation. ISRMUN is proud to once again be the host of this challenging educational experience that allows students to assume the role of UN ambassadors in order to practice decision-making and negotiation skills with other representatives. Through Model UN, students learn how an international community takes action on global issues such as human rights, the environment, peace and security, food and hunger, economic development and globalization.
While the main goal of this event is to give our students the platform to develop and enhance their teamwork, problem solving, decision-making and leadership abilities, they also have the opportunity to refine and showcase their oral and written communication skills. Acting as world delegates, students must prepare draft resolutions, strategize, negotiate, and problem solve for solutions involving worldwide issues. Individual student victory relies on how well they use these skills, as is in our globalized world.
ISRMUN also gives us, the advisors, a place and atmosphere to partake in professional conversations, to share the best cultural practices, to get updated on current events and become familiar with other educational communities. We are looking forward to a successful event on many levels. So once again, we invite you to ISRMUN on November 8th, 9th and 10th. Let's work together and give our students the best opportunities to become globally engaged leaders. The actions of today, shape our world of tomorrow!
