From Regents International School Head of Nursery, Mrs Juliet Perrin:

This academic year we are delighted to be opening a new Nursery space in the Early Primary building.   The Nursery Team is very excited about the changes and we are looking forward to working with all the children in the Nursery unit.  Traditionally, at Regents, the Nursery classes have been in individual classrooms with a class teacher and teaching assistant .  However, we are thrilled to launch this new Nursery space which  will provide the opportunity for a complete child focused  approach to learning.

Every child in Nursery will have the opportunity to choose, explore and learn in one of four areas. Let’s pretend, Let’s explore, Let’s create and Let’s move When exploring these areas the children will be guided and their learning enhanced and extended by a teacher and a teaching assistant.  This means each child in Nursery will not be taught by one teacher and teaching assistant,  but by four highly passionate and experienced teachers supported by dedicated and amazing teaching assistants.

The Nursery Team looks forward to working in collaboration with parents and is always available to answer any questions.  After the half term holiday, once the children have settled,  parents will be invited to ‘Stay and Play’ sessions  and will be able to see first hand the way in which the children are accessing their learning in this exciting and progressive way.
