IB Music Recital

An evening of classical music on Piano, Cello and the Chinese Guzheng from our talented IB Music students.

The talented musicians studying Music for their IB Diploma at the British International School Pudong campus will play their penultimate performance in front of a school audience this Friday, 21st March at 7pm.

Among the talented five is Mint Lee who was awarded fellowship of the ABRSM earlier this year – a prestigious honour and one which is reserved for only the most promising musicians..

Mint will be joined by fellow IB Music students Kerstin Pan and Jennifer Lin, also Pianists, Amanda Zhu on Cello and Gina Jiang on the Guzheng.

Earlier this year, these students also played for the UK Prime Minister, David Cameron at a luncheon event held in Shanghai for government officials and business dignitaries.

Mr Bevan Graham, the IB Coordinator and IB Music Teacher at the British International School says of these students: “We will really miss their focused energy and beautiful artistry with the instruments they play. They are a true inspiration to their fellow students and to aspiring musicians who have the chance to hear them. I hope it is not the last time we hear from them at the school – I am sure it won’t be.”
