Red Carpet Here They Come!

It’s off to the Paddington movie premiere and to meet the Prince for our five creative winners of the Dress Paddington Competition.

Students in Year 1 to Year 6 were asked to design a costume for Paddington to attend his movie premiere, and the judges were impressed by the imagination and flair of the entries. The outfits ranged from traditional Chinese dress to a QQ penguin suit, top hat and tails to a Beefeater outfit with Chinese flair!

The winners are:

Romane Castel, Year 6B

Isabelle Jones, Year 5A

Dayin Yu, Year 4D

Neil Machiels, Year 3B

Elliott Francois, Year 2A

These students, along with Mrs Wallace and Mr Wilson, will attend the red-carpet Paddington premiere next Tuesday evening at the Shanghai Film Museum. They will walk the red carpet and be personally introduced to HRH The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William who is also attending the event and who will inspect their Paddington outfit designs.

Mrs Wallace presented the students with their very own Paddington bears in a special ceremony today, also giving some important tips on how to address royalty.
