Les Roches and Glion Visit

Both Year 12 and 13 students were privileged this week to have received a visit from representatives from Les Roches and Glion International Schools of Hotel Management.

The presentation highlighted the exciting array of courses on offer at these higher education institutions as well as the multitude of opportunities available to its graduates.

In particular, their inspirational new Global degree offers the possibility of study in Switzerland, Spain and Shanghai itself with hands-on experience in a multitude of sectors. What was particularly noteworthy was that graduates from Les Roches and Glion do not progress solely to the hotel industry but rather to the Service sector as a whole with alumni found in the majority of the top service leaders in the world.

Following the lecture, NAIS Pudong students were able to ask any questions that they had about university life and the application process which will prepare them well for both this year and next. There was then a more personal gathering for further informal questioning such as fee structure, scholarships and work experience.

For some, this lecture would have served as a step to becoming informed on the vast array of university courses out in the world today even if they have still not made up their minds. For others, this lecture inspired and informed them on the way in which they can enrich their CVs for application to this prestigious institution in the future.

Finally, there was even the chance for one student to have a face-to-face interview in preparation for his application this year. We are very grateful to our visitors for their fascinating talk and we hope they will return to NAIS Pudong next year.
