English

This week in English we will continue to read the book 'Too Many Toys' by Davis Shannon. Through poetry the children will consider what they are going to write before beginning by: encapsulating what they are going to say sentence by sentence; continuing to develop a positive attitude towards writing; building stamina for writing, and consider writing for a different purpose and reader.

Maths

In maths the objectives covered this week will focus on telling the time.

  • To tell and write the time to five minutes
  • To know the number of minutes in an hour and the number of hours in a day

Topic

This week we will continue as Scientists to:

  • Sort toys based on what they are made of
  • Look at materials and their properties
  • Identify which materials are best for making a bath toy
  • Learn how toys move using pushes and pulls
