English
In English this week, the children will write a recount about the long weekend. The focus will be on using different punctuation features, adjectives and conjunctions.

They will be treated to a special presentation about the evolution of cars. Prior to the talk, the children will compose a list of questions they would like to find out the answers to. This will help them to consider what cars might be like in the future.

Mathematics
This week, the children will continue to develop their knowledge of addition and subtraction problems, identifying that subtraction is the inverse of addition. Revision will be completed of 2D and 3D shapes and their properties.

Topic
The Personal Goal we will be focusing on this week is 'Adaptability'. The children will edit and improve the 'silent movies' created last week and begin to consider how they will make their own stock-motion pictures. They will look at past inventions and discuss their usefulness as they being to consider their own possible inventions for the future.
