Letter from the Head of Secondary - 12th May 2016

With IB and IGCSE examinations continuing, and other year groups busy preparing for their end-of-year assessments, the Secondary school remains a relatively quiet place at the moment.

It was good to meet some Year 6 parents yesterday at the Primary-Secondary transition meeting, and we look forward to seeing many more parents to our ‘Supporting children through adolescence’ event next Thursday afternoon.

Two further important events are happening over the coming week or so – tonight’s musical and dramatic extravaganza, the ‘Stage and Screen’ evening, promises to be a wonderful evening of entertainment for all ages.  Next Friday, we will stage our ‘Cap and Gown’ event in honour of our graduating Year 13 students, which promises to be a formal, but very memorable and significant event for these young people as they begin their journey to university and beyond.

I hope to see many of you at one or more of these events, and wish you a wonderful, relaxing weekend.
Dinah Hawtree
Head of Secondary
