English

In the final week of school, in English we will be creating fact files for Year 3 students moving into Year 4. Students will be using the range of different skills they have learned this year to create an information booklet about Year 4. These will cover the range of different things they have learned, particularly focusing on the IPC. Writing a narrative, a non-chronological report, a newspaper article or even some poetry are some of the different types of writing they may use to convey their feelings about the year.

Maths

In Maths we will be creating games on all the skills we have learned this year. This will cover the range of different topics we have covered and will have an element of competition involved. Students will be designing mathematical games and word problems which they will then use to challenge their peers. As next week is Double House Point Week, students will be excited to earn some of those extra House Points for the final count for Wednesday’s assembly.

Topic

In Topic we will be working  towards the Exit Point of our Unit “What’s on the Menu”.  Students will be busy working on completing all the different elements they have designed for their restaurant. They will then be looking at how to best present their work for when their parents come to school on Wednesday to see what they have done and enjoy a meal together in their restaurant. Students will also be working towards setting up their restaurant tables and information boards for this visit.
