Year 10 Enterprise Project

As part of the Learning Beyond the Classroom activities in the final week of school, Year 10 students have completed the Enterprise Project. After two weeks of preparation behind the scenes, the students brought their ideas to the table. The challenge was to create a product to help with the Syrian refugee crisis. It could be something to aid with refugee travel, in the asylum seeking process or on arrival in host country.

The students thought of some amazing creative ideas, and brought with them a report, infographic and had to make a pitch to a panel of judges on the day. Among the ideas pitched were: survival packs, language schools and an app. However, the winning product was an idea called ‘food to the soul’. This idea promoted integration between refugees and people living in Germany whereby people in the host country cooked and met with refugees to promote integration and understanding.

Overall, it was a really worthwhile and productive day, where Year 10 showed once again what amazing students they are.
