Year 6 Night at the Museum

Year 6 students were barely recognisable as they took on the roles of important historical characters for the Night at the Museum presentations. Just like the movie of the same name, a simple cue (in this case the dropping of a coin into a cup) caused each of the inanimate characters to suddenly come to life as the figure from history they had researched, providing the viewers with a brief history of their subject.

Among the historical figures who told their stories today were two Queens, Victoria and Elizabeth II, as well as Einstein, Benjamin Franklin and Winston Churchill. Some more modern characters who have cemented their place in the history books included David Beckham, Sepp Blatter and Malala. Even Donald Trump made an appearance.

The students have spent considerable time researching their characters, and each had memorized their pieces. Students from other classes in Primary were delighted to stroll the corridors of B Block for this most entertaining and imaginative glimpse into history.

All donations made to the Night at the Museum characters will be donated to charity. For more photos, go to our Facebook page here.
