Principal's Message - 1 September 2016

For all those following our puppy story we now have homes for all our little orphans, a big thank you to everyone’s support in reaching out to the community. It’s amazing what we can achieve when we all work together an expression which really rings true for the start of the year.

We have been incredibly pleased with the collaboration between parents, staff and pupils. From the support of members of our community in talking to prospective new families to supporting with different events through to the students working with staff on initiatives to build community spirit including coming later this year the night time Olympics.

I had the absolute pleasure of attending the secondary assembly at the end of last week and hearing our student leaders in Year 13 reach out to their peers to get involved, be inspired and drive change through supporting the different strands of student leadership whether it be internationalism, service, arts and culture or house and sport.  Our primary student council is also back in force reforming for the year ahead.

Continuing on the theme of coming together I look forward to next week’s primary meet and greet a great opportunity to meet the team, over a sociable drink whilst finding out more about the routines and expectations for the year ahead. Of course, next week also marks the start of CCA’s for adults as well as students, so hope to see you at boot camp on Tuesday as we work together to achieve our ambition of improving our fitness!!
