Message from the Principal - 14 September 2016

As I reflect on the past week, the common theme was Collaboration and Community. Monday was a magical day for Year 1 students with a surprise visit from the Shanghai ERA circus! The children were amazed by the mystical magicians and breath-taking bubble acts, as were the many parents who attended the spectacle as well. Year 1 is ready to start our learning about the circus! Next time the parents come to visit, they'll be watching our very own NAIS circus...

Tuesday started with a fun-filled welcome lunch organised by the Community Group for parents and ended with the Secondary Meet and Greet, where parents enjoyed socialising together and with staff whilst also finding out more about project week and the year ahead. By now you should also have received copies of the presentations from your head of year.

Next week will be another exciting and varied week of stimulating education and engagement. One of the highlights is the special lecture presented by Mr Anu Ojha the Director of the UK National Space Academy. On Tuesday 20th September at 2.30pm in the Performing Arts Centre, Anu Ojha will share his thoughts on space science and conspiracy theories. The 45min presentation, followed by a Q&A, is open to all Years 10-13 students and parents. We do hope you will join us for what promises to be a riveting event.
