We will look at different foods and sort them in to their nutrition groups, we will then learn about a balanced diet and why it is important to eat a range of foods. We will use this knowledge to create healthy plates and share our information in small groups. We will also look at the effects of eating sugary foods and fats on our bodies linking to exercise as well as our teeth, skin and hair.

It is also International Week! Y2 will focus on the continent of ‘Asia’. The countries we will look at during the week are India, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.

During the week, the children will complete activities with other Y2 teachers and mix with other children during the parade and food fair. To finish the week we will complete a treasure hunt around the school to complete a quiz about all the continents covered throughout the school.
