School Team Match Reports

D1 Boys

The D1 Boys played Dulwich College at NAIS Pudong last Friday. It was a very close game and despite the boys playing exceptionally well they did not get the result their performance deserved and they lost the match two sets to one.

On Monday 5th September they played a well drilled SAS Pudong boys volleyball team. They were outplayed and had to work hard to score points. They lost the game by three sets to nil.

D1 Girls

The D1 Girls played Dulwich College at NAIS Pudong last Friday. The girls all played well and gave a good game but couldn’t quite get ahead and the game ended with a loss of two sets to one.

On Monday 5th September the girls then played a well trained SAS Pudong volleyball team. During the first match the team were outplayed. In the second set the girls got back into the game and lost by a close margin.  Finally the game  was lost by three sets to nil.

 

D2 Boys

The D2 Boys played Dulwich College at their venue last Friday. It was a very close first set and the boys won 25– 23. The second set the boys outplayed Dulwich to win 25– 15. In the third game the boys continued to play well and won 15– 8. Their confidence improved throughout the game and the final winning score was three sets to nil.

On Monday 5th September they played a good SAS Pudong boys volleyball team. They started slowly in the first set and lost 24– 26. During the second set the boys performance was irregular. They won points playing good volleyball which was followed by poor serving, not returning the ball and lack of good communication. The game was lost by a margin. They ended by winning the third set 15– 8. On reflection the boys knew that if they had been consistent  they would have won but the final score was two sets to nil.

 

D2 Girls

The D2 Girls played Dulwich College at NAIS Pudong last Friday. It was a very close game and the girls performed really well. They lost the first set  but came  out on top during the second game winning by 10 points. In the third set they were leading 7– 1 but as the game continued they could not return the other team’s serves and lost 15– 11. The final score was lost at two sets to one.

On Monday 5th September the girls then played a good SAS Pudong volleyball team. The first set our team played well and should have won the game but lost through not returning back some of the other team’s serves. In the second set the girls played well and lost by a close margin. The end result was two sets to one.

Wednesday 7th September the girls team played Concordia International School at Concordia. The girls performed well from the beginning, dominating the game and won all three sets.
