Drop off – We would greatly appreciate your support with dropping your child off to school between 8.30-8.45am at the latest; this way we can start our morning circle by 9am.

January and February are usually the coldest months of the year in Shanghai. Please make sure your child comes to school every day wearing the correct Early Years winter uniform, and with appropriate layers to equip them for the playground.

Overview of next week’s learning

After the holidays the children will continue to explore the story of Rosie’s Walk. As they become more familiar they will begin to understand the way in which stories are sequenced and retell the story in small groups and individually by creating their own story maps.

As part of our early phonics progression, the children will continue to develop their listening skills through playing games that will help them hear similar rhyming sounds.

Our maths sessions will allow the children to continue to develop their understanding of opposites of weight, capacity and size through practical exploration.
