Message from Secondary - 26th January

It was lovely to see so many of you last Sunday at the Temple Fair with children participating in so many of the great activities. We witnessed the creation of some really amazing Beijing Opera Masks and Chinese lanterns as well as children perfecting their ‘Shu Fa’ or Chinese calligraphy. The lion dance also drew large, appreciative crowds outside of C block. The celebrations continued in school on Wednesday with a lunch time concert, activities and stalls and on Thursday with a dress up day.

Our Year 11 and 13 students gave a big sigh of relief this week as they have completed their final mock exams. Although students have already started working on the feedback from these exams, the official final grades will be shared on Friday 10th February. Year 13 celebrated the fact that there are now less than 100 days to the real exams with a pyjama day at the beginning of the week – now the real work of serious revision begins!

The Year 10 and 12 Academic Review Evening on Tuesday was very successful with many productive conversations between students, parents and teachers. We look forward to welcoming Year 11 and 13 parents for their upcoming Academic Review Evening on Thursday 16th February from 5-8pm.

Best wishes,

Carol Camargo and Therese Andrews
