Information and Reminders
As part of our topic Blast Off, the children have invited their favourite soft toy to join them for a picnic on the moon next week. Please could you send a soft toy to school with your child on Monday so that everybody is ready for take-off. We will ensure all soft toys make it safely back from the moon and return home with your child on the day.
We kindly ask that if you have any junk modelling (e.g., cardboard boxes, tubes, cartons, bubble wrap, etc.), could you please donate to our construction area in Reception. The children will have the opportunity to make their own rockets next week so any donations would be much appreciated.

Overview of Learning
Next week, we will continue to explore the book ‘Whatever Next’ by Jill Murphy. The children are really excited to go on their very own adventure to the moon with a favourite soft toy and re-enact their favourite parts of the story. Of course, our moon adventure will be staying very much on the ground and in the classroom but it is a fantastic opportunity for children to develop their imaginations, expressive language and communication skills. We will also develop writing skills, creating invitations for our moon picnic and writing simple instructions about how to make a sandwich. Four our maths learning next week, we will explore positional language which should come in very handy for our moon landing. The week is shaping out to be a very exciting one indeed and as always, we aim to immerse the children in fun yet purposeful learning environment.
