Information and Reminders

Next week we will have school photos taking place, please can I encourage parents to ensure their child continues to wear the correct school clothing. The correct uniform for Nursery is displayed in the booklet and includes, the blue school polo shirt and blue school track pants with matching zip up cardigan are the required uniform, to be worn with black, navy or grey shoes. Thank you for your continued support.

Drop off – We would greatly appreciate your support with dropping your child off to school between 8.30-8.45am at the latest; this way we can start our morning circle

Drop Everything and Read – Students will need to bring a book to school every day next week, which they will take with them to every lesson. On hearing a bell or whistle, they must stop what they are doing and pick up the book and read.

Book Swap – If you have any unwanted books at home that you are willing to donate, you may bring them into school and your child can swap them for another book on Thursday or Friday of next week.

Book Fair – we will have external vendors in school from Wednesday 22nd to Friday 24th March selling a range of books. Students will have an opportunity to make a wish list of books they like, which they can bring home to show you, before purchasing any.

Overview of next week’s learning

The children are looking forward to our Shakespeare Week next week. The Nursery children will focus on the story of Gnomeo and Juliet adapted from the original Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet and enjoy a movie extravaganza during Wednesday’s Pyjama Day. As we are having our photos on the same day, please can the children come to school in their school uniform and bring pyjamas to change into.

In Maths the children are going to focus on numbers, counting, recognition and number formation by going on a gnome hunt in the outdoor learning space.

As part of our Literacy focus, the children will be asked to bring a book of their choice to school to share with their class mates. Please ensure that your child’s name is written on the book.
