Overview of next week’s learning

Next week we will be reading the story “One mole digging a hole” and other rhyming stories to develop your child’s understanding of rhyming words.
We will start some simple cutting exercises which will include explaining to children that they should only use the scissors while a teacher is supervising them. Please explain this at home as well.

As we have been digging for vegetables in our ‘small world farm’ in the classroom we will start to explore which vegetables we know live in the ground and start planting in our outdoor area.
I would like to ask parents to send some fruit in on Wednesday next week so that we can make our own fruit salad.
