Writing Key Objectives

Choose adjectives and verbs for effect, using word banks to support their work.

Consider what they are going to write before beginning by writing down ideas and/or key words, including new vocabulary.

Use of capital letters, full stops, question marks and exclamation marks.

Make simple additions, revisions and corrections to their own writing by evaluating their writing with the teacher and other pupils.

Topic

Next week in topic we will continue our work on Buildings. As Artists we will continue to create and design a house thinking about different materials and fabrics. As Scientists we will look at the properties of the materials and think about why these would be suitable for different purposes. Which materials are hard? Why is glass used in windows? What does opaque mean? Which materials are waterproof? If you have any cardboard boxes, scrap materials, fabric or old unwanted clothing please send them in to be cut up and used for the decorating.
