Principal's Message

Wow, what an amazing start to the day many of our kids had on Wednesday morning when they joined their dads for a donut in The Hub before the start of school. This was a great chance for dads to meet one another, mingle, and of course, indulge in a sugary treat to fuel the busy day ahead. By your responses on our school Facebook page (with almost 3000 views!), it was an event which certainly hit the spot.

We look forward to welcoming dads back over the weekend. Despite this morning’s drizzle, the sun will be shining tomorrow, and the field will be awash with tents as we hold our annual Dads and Kids Campout. On Sunday Morning, once the fresh coffee runs out and the tents are packed away, our ground staff will be earnestly preparing our facilities for the coming week of sports.

Next week, NAIS Pudong will host the annual Primary FOBISIA Games Tournament. There will be more than 200 students arriving from Bangkok, Vietnam, Beijing and Malaysia to participate in the friendly games. Students will compete in athletics, swimming, t-ball and football. If you are on-site, please welcome our visiting parents and students who are here on Thursday afternoon, Friday and Saturday. Our own squads have been training tirelessly for weeks, as they know they will be facing a very competitive field of fellow athletes. That being said, there is nothing better than having the home crowd behind you; so please join us in wishing them the very best of luck and get behind them with your fighting Tiger spirit. Go Tigers!!!

Next week will also mark the end of the first chapter of exams, with our IB students completing on Friday (with some students even finishing this week). On Friday 19th May, we will celebrate their success in the Performing Arts Centre during the Cap and Gown Ceremony. It will be an unusually busy day, as we go from presenting trophies to the primary sports stars to celebrating the end of an era, as our Year 13 students graduate and prepare for a summer of transition, as university life beckons. With outstanding offers from the world's leading universities, we wait with baited breath to discover how the next chapter will unfold.
