Upcoming Juilliard Alumni Visits

Next Monday and Tuesday we welcome back our curriculum specialist, Andrea Lee from Juilliard. Andrea will be working with Year 8 and Year 9 in Secondary in addition to Year 1 and Year 6 in Primary. Andrea will also lead a professional development session for the music staff and will attend our orchestra rehearsals after school. We are all looking forward seeing her once again!

On the topic of Juilliard,  we are pleased to welcome Colby Chambers, a Juilliard Alumni on 23rd May. Mr. Chambers will be working with our Key Stage 2 students, along with Years 7 and 8 on their production. This promises to be a very exciting visit for our students. Colby is an actor, writer, director and the co-founder of 85th Street Productions.

Since studying at The Oxford School of Drama in the U.K., The College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, and earning his degree from the Juilliard School’s Drama Division, Colby has been driven by curiosity and the need to explore characters and stories that collide at the intersection of science and art.  His New York and regional theatre credits include Amadeus, Hamlet, 'Tis Pity She's a Whore, Dog Sees God, Lion in Winter, Bad Jazz, and Proof.  His television credits include Law and Order, Guiding Light, and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.  Film includes Henry.

On the same day, in the evening, our ensembles will be performing in the Stage and Screen Concert at 6pm. This promises to be a fantastic concert, for which there are no admission costs, so please arrive in good time as there are approximately 170 pupils performing on the night!
