Message from Primary - 26th May

Dear Parents,

Last week was a fantastic week for our Early Years and Primary school, showcasing the imagination, skills, talent and teamwork of all our students whether they were working creatively during our STEAM Day or displaying sporting expertise as part of the Primary FOBISIA Squad.

All of our students made us incredibly proud with their attitude and approach to what was an incredibly busy but memorable week for so many reasons.

This week was no different and a large number of our Primary students took part in our Stage and Screen evening on Tuesday. Our Rainbow Review and Cantabella choirs sang beautifully – probably their best performances to date; and our school orchestra also featured many of our Primary students who excelled in their instrumental performances. This year also saw a drama performance which again featured students from our Primary school – I can’t wait to see all these talents come together for our forthcoming Key Stage 2 performance of Porridge, which will take place in just a few short weeks!

Advising and supporting our Key Stage 2 students this week with their performing skills was actor Colby Chambers, a Juilliard alumni. He spent the afternoon with our Year 4 and Year 6 students, helping them develop their acting in readiness for our upcoming performance.

Yesterday, we were treated to a wonderful assembly from one of our Year 2 classes. 2C presented their assembly to the rest of the Primary school and their parents with beautifully clear and confident voices, and we were all very impressed with what they had been learning in their most recent topic.

Next week of course is a short week at school, but we are still managing to squeeze in some exciting activities for our students; a Teddy Bears Picnic for our Pre-Nursery 1 and 2 students and an overnight Campout for our Year 3 students. May the weather be kind to us, not only to let us enjoy these fun events, but also to enjoy the long weekend with our families.

With best wishes,

Lisa Passante

Head of Primary
