Participate in discussion about books, poems and other works that are read to them and those that they can read for themselves, taking turns and listening to what others say.

Make simple additions, revisions and corrections to their own writing by evaluating their writing with the teacher and other pupils.

Topic

Water is important to all living things; without water there would be no life on Earth. We use water every day, we depend on water to stay clean and healthy, just like many plants and animals we share our world with. Not everyone in the world has clean, fresh water - but we can help to change that, because water is for everyone. This week as scientist we will be finding out how water helps plants to grow. We will investigate why water is important to plants and conduct experiments to help explain this.
