Overview of next week’s learning

As part of our learning about stories, structure and characters the children will be asked to sequence a story using picture cards. They will discuss the plot of the story and make up names for the main characters.  Once they have an idea and have become more familiar with their story the children will be asked to make their own story maps and retell their stories to each other being encouraged to use familiar story language structures that have previously been learned.

In maths the children will continue to explore shapes in the world around us. They will be asked to describe different shapes and talk about the differences and similarities of different shapes, using language such as straight, curved, round, corners etc.
