Overview of next week’s learning

In Phonics the children will continue to develop their awareness that individual letter sounds can be used to read or create words. The children will decode simple CVC words and draw a picture to represent them. They will also have the opportunity to draw pictures and use their phonic knowledge to draw labels on them to describe to the viewer what is seen.

In maths the children will continue to create shapes using a variety of materials. They will also be asked to solve some simple number problems by identifying groups of ‘more’ and ‘less’. They will be encouraged to write the numbers for each group too.
