Overview of next week’s learning

Next week we will focus on the story of Hansel and Gretel who are lost in the woods and find a house made of candy that they proceed to eat. There is a mean witch that lives in the house but we will focus more on building the house of candy and we will do some brightly coloured fun activities to make our own candy houses. We will make art using popcorn and we will decorate cookies. These activities will require fine motor skills as well as Maths skills of patterning and some creative design skills. We will also introduce 3D shapes as we build ‘cubes’ together. As the children will be heading to Nursery soon we will start tracing over our name – more so that they recognise it than be able to write it.
